We’ve been having such a cold spell lately and so when a Chinook rolls in, it’s a wonderful time. Bird’s are singing, babies are smiling, all caution is abandoned and even patios are open. Never mind that it is only around 6C, in our minds, it’s officially BBQ weather!
This will make little sense to you, if you haven’t lived in Southern Alberta, but trust me when it goes from -30C to +6C or more, you celebrate!
And on this beautiful unicorn of a day, I celebrated the warmth with a sweater dress, boots, giant scarf and no jacket…winning!
The grey sweater dress is French Connection, it has fun zipper details on the shoulders (which my scarf is covering). p.s there’s a 70% off sale on right now at French Connection.
The beaded tassel necklace I picked up on my recent trip to Bali, post coming soon on that. It’s pretty much a long rope that can be worn in a variety of styles, even as a belt. Love the versatility!
This scarf is from Roots Canada and is the real MVP here, whenever my neck is warm I’m happy, especially important when rolling around town without a jacket, even on the balmiest of Chinook days, it’s needed.
I’m so in love with these boots! It’s the bows down the back, it adds just the right amount of feminine flair to the classic boot style. These are Valentino. The bright blue purse is Prada, it’s a fun statement piece and my favourite way to wear it is cross-body.
Now if only this chinook would last the rest of the winter. But I guess it’s the randomness and rarity that makes it so special.
